The sun might as well have been on them Their luminescent travels Lighting up spots below The alien sight All inside me Some managed to escape And haunt me outside The moon’s luminescent Should be calming, relaxing But I already knew it wouldn’t work I’m too deep You can come for me But the hopes of my land-treaded self gone It’s gone See the darkness cloud me A fruitless attempt Only more comes A piercing laser Each strikes hard Another? and Tomorrow I’ll be in a new world gone The sun might as well have been on them
